This is one of the most difficult challenges I've faced in my photography class mostly because of the Pan shot. This project though did teach me a lot on how to approach a photo and to learn how to get the shot you want.
Responses from students Composition: 11+ Subject: 1+ Originality: 14+ My response to the students responses: Overall I think the responses are fairly accurate. I think many got confused on the subject, because there is a main focal point in the photo. The hallway photo does have a subject which is the shadow itself. In the hallway photo all lines follow along the shadow and your eyes get attracted to the shadow. The dolly photo follows the same rule to as the hallway photo does. All lines lead to the shadows thus making the shadow the focal point/subject. Going through these photo you may have notice the shadows are the main focal point in each photo. All photos follow the rule of thirds and achieved making the shadow the main focal point. These are examples of shadow photos and I do not own any of these photos! All credit goes to the amazing photographers that have taken these photos.
